My Professional Journey

From Architecture to Business & Design Strategy

My professional path across design, retail and international markets

My professional journey began with a deep interest in how design shapes the way people live, move, and interact with their environment. After graduating in Architecture from Politecnico di Milano, I became increasingly interested in how creativity can extend beyond aesthetics, influencing experiences, behaviors, and organizational outcomes.

My first professional experience in Shanghai offered a radically new perspective. Immersed in a fast-evolving international context, I developed a strong understanding of how design, culture, and commerce intersect to create relevant brand experiences. This period marked a turning point, leading me to broaden my focus from architecture to the strategic role of design within business.

After returning to Italy, I completed an Executive Master in Design Management at Il Sole 24 Ore Business School in Milan. The program strengthened my ability to connect design thinking with business management and provided a structured foundation for my strategic approach. I subsequently joined Bricocenter (Adeo Group), where I worked on store design and retail planning projects across more than sixty locations nationwide. Operating within a high-volume retail environment allowed me to develop a pragmatic understanding of how brand identity, customer flow, and operational efficiency must coexist.

In 2018, I moved back to China to join Poltrona Frau as Visual Merchandising Manager for the Asia-Pacific region. Working within the luxury design sector, I was responsible for developing and implementing visual standards across Greater China, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia. Through store openings, refurbishments, and pop-up projects, I gained extensive experience in translating Italian design heritage into culturally relevant retail experiences, while working closely with both headquarters and local teams.

I later joined Seletti as APAC Sales Manager, further expanding my responsibilities from design and retail into commercial leadership and regional business development. In this role, I oversaw commercial partnerships, pricing strategies, and market expansion initiatives across China, Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia, including the transition from a distributor-led model to direct operations. I was also involved in flagship store openings, regional activations, and the integration of digital platforms within the broader go-to-market strategy.

Across these experiences, my work has consistently sat at the intersection of design, retail, and international business. I am particularly motivated by environments where creative vision, operational execution, and cultural understanding must align to support sustainable growth in complex international markets.

My Working Principles

A professional perspective shaped by design, business and international experience

I believe effective work starts with listening and understanding context — including organizational priorities, market dynamics, and cultural nuances — before defining any strategic direction.

My professional approach sits at the intersection of design sensibility and business execution, shaped through international experience across retail, brand development, and market operations. I value clarity, alignment, and collaboration as essential elements for navigating complex environments and translating creative vision into structured, executable strategies.

Across my career, I’ve worked in roles that required bridging creative direction and commercial objectives, contributing to retail development, brand positioning, and go-to-market initiatives in diverse international contexts. What guides my work is a focus on coherence, relevance, and long-term sustainability rather than short-term outcomes.
